The project carries forward the eclectic charm of the site’s heritage while evolving it through refined architectural elegance and a greenery-led beautification of its 200m street frontage.
Featuring a lush array of predominantly Indigenous plantings that reflect the region’s ecological history, planting highlights include Dwarf Golden Wattle, Native Fuchsia, and resilient native grasses like Lomandra. These selections enhance the aesthetic appeal and bolster biodiversity within the urban landscape.
The overarching design prioritises communal resident amenities on level three, with a series of western-facing terraces, and on level six, which features a lap pool with sunbeds in a shallow zone and cabanas overlooking Wellington Street, where the built environment peels into two forms with a break in the centre. Thoughtfully curated outdoor spaces include lounges, dining areas, and private, bookable VIP zones, inviting social interaction and providing intimate retreats. Climbing plants like Myoporum adorn steel pergolas, blending with natural materials such as stone and timber. By delivering relevant, useful and beautiful hardscaping softened through greenery, Victoria & Vine enriches the living experience, establishing a dynamic landscape that enhances the site’s character while promoting sustainability and ecological integrity.
